Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After enjoying breakfast at your lodge in Arusha, we will pick you up and head to Tarangire National Park.

Located in the Manyara region, Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s largest national parks, renowned for its vast herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the iconic baobab trees, often referred to as the “Tree of Life” due to the cultural significance and myths surrounding them. The park is particularly famous for the Tarangire River, which flows year-round and serves as a crucial water source for wildlife during the dry season.

03

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we’ll head to Ngorongoro for a full-day crater tour, complete with a picnic on the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to around 20,000 mammals, including approximately 20 rare black rhinoceros, making it one of the best places in Tanzania to spot these incredible animals. The crater also boasts one of the highest concentrations of carnivores in the world. Lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals are frequently seen, while with a bit of luck, you might also catch a glimpse of leopards, servals, and bat-eared foxes.

04

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

we will depart for Central Serengeti National Park, enjoying a picnic lunch and a game drive along the way. The Serengeti is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife, but it’s perhaps most famous for the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras. From July to October, you can witness this incredible spectacle, where territorial battles and mating occur in full force. One of the most dramatic sights is watching these animals cross crocodile-infested rivers, showcasing the true meaning of survival of the fittest. During the migration, more than 8,000 wildebeest calves are born each day, before the 1,000 km (600 mile) journey begins anew.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

We will depart for Central Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch, enjoying a game drive along the way. The Serengeti, known for its breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife, is most famous for the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras. From July to October, this incredible event includes fierce territorial battles and mating rituals. You’ll witness the ultimate test of survival as these animals cross crocodile-infested rivers. During the migration, over 8,000 wildebeest calves are born daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) journey begins anew.

06

Day 5-6: Northern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will head to northern Serengeti to witness the Great Migration in the Mara area. The Mara River is the central highlight here, and it’s not uncommon to see the herds cross north one day, only to return south a few days later. However, spotting a river crossing can be tricky and often comes down to luck. There are times when herds gather near the river but may not cross for days. The region itself is breathtaking, featuring kopjes, woodlands, riverine vegetation, and open plains, much like Kenya’s famed Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Day 7: Flight back to Arusha

After breakfast, we will drive to Kogatende Airstrip where you will catch your flight to Arusha and arrive in time for lunch. Afterwards, you will be driven to the Kilimanjaro international airport to catch your flight home
